Private sellerProduct description
Beautiful and authentic Belgian ERpé desk lamp, produced by Ritzen & Penners establishments in Brussels, likely dating from the 1930s.
Characteristic model of the manufacturer's modernist and Art Deco production, with a heavy cast iron base with a stepped geometric decoration, double metal arm, and large adjustable reflector in dark green enameled sheet metal on the outside and white on the inside.
The underside of the base bears the molded marking:
ERPÉ – MADE IN BELGIUM
The lamp retains its old socket with a porcelain ring, as well as its old wiring and plug, fully contributing to the charm of the piece.
The reflector is adjustable and allows the light to be directed, typical of work and desk lamps of this period.
Height: approximately 51 cm
Old condition with patina and normal traces of use visible in the photographs.
Old electrical system to be checked or brought up to standard before regular use.
