This is a wall-mounted coat rack from the 1950s, executed in a distinct Art Deco style. Its design combines practical functionality with the geometric elegance characteristic of the period, featuring a contrasting two-tone metal construction. The piece offers both a top shelf for hats or accessories and a lower rack with hooks for coats and jackets. The structure is composed of a black lacquered metal frame that provides a strong graphic outline. This frame supports polished aluminium bars for the shelf and a lower rail from which five sliding aluminium hooks are suspended. The interplay between the dark frame and the bright, silvery finish of the aluminium creates a visually striking and timeless aesthetic. The design is a fine example of Mid-Century functionalism meeting the decorative principles of the Art Deco movement. This coat rack is presented in a very good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of wear consistent with its age and history. The original finishes on both the black frame and the aluminium components are well-preserved, retaining the authentic character of the piece.
