Oh dear; This table lamp from the 1930s is a striking example of the Art Deco style, characterized by the elegant antelope figure. The design combines a sculptural element with functional lighting, resulting in a striking decorative object that reflects the aesthetics of early twentieth-century design.
The lamp is crafted with a marble base, upon which a detailed brass antelope is mounted. The brass socket contrasts subtly with the natural veining of the marble. The fixture features a striking, elongated light source with a spiral filament, which contributes to the warm appearance. The wiring has been renewed with a black and white zigzag cord, equipped with a modern switch and plug, ensuring usability in contemporary interiors. The object is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The brass elements display an authentic patina that emphasizes the lamp's historical character. The marble base is structurally intact and the electrical components are functional.
This Art Deco table lamp looks excellent on a sideboard, desk, or side table. The design adds a touch of historical elegance to both classic and eclectic interiors, and forms a refined accent in a study or living room.
