Two Arrben Italia "Canasta" side chairs, black metal frame. The seats and backrests are upholstered in black leather or faux leather. Slight signs of wear on the frame and leather are present.
A pair (2) of the design classic "Canasta" by Arrben Italia from the 1980s (brand and model identified through internet research). In contrast to the more common cantilever versions, this is the much rarer and sculptural three-legged version. With their minimalist silhouette and radical, postmodern design, these chairs perfectly capture the spirit of the 80s (comparable to Philippe Starck's designs).
Technical data & dimensions: Total height approx. 75 cm; Seat height approx. 43 cm; Seat area approx. 48 x 48 cm; Weight approx. 7,6 kg per chair.
The chairs are in good vintage condition. Corresponding to their age (approx. 40 years), there are slight superficial signs of wear on the leather and small, inconspicuous scratches/signs of use on the black metal frame. The leather has a beautiful patina, is not worn through anywhere, and the seams are absolutely firm. The chairs are stable, heavy, and immediately usable. From a well-maintained non-smoking household.
