About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a ceramic vase sculpture by the Belgian contemporary artist Arne Quinze. Created in 2007, the piece is part of his notable "Mutagenesis" series, which explores the dialogue between nature and culture through biomorphic forms.
The sculpture is crafted from ceramic, featuring a glossy white interior and a matte, textured exterior. Its organic, twisted silhouette serves as a canvas for expressive, action-painting style decoration in vibrant red, orange, and blue acrylic paint. The work is hand-signed and dated "Arne Quinze 2007 1/1" at the base, confirming its authenticity and origin within this important period of the artist's work.
Presented in excellent, as-new condition, this piece has been carefully preserved. The integrity of both the ceramic form and the painted surface is fully intact, showcasing the artist's intended contrast between the controlled shape and the spontaneous application of color. It is a unique, one-of-a-kind work from the series.
As both a functional vase and a standalone sculptural object, this piece is well-suited for a contemporary or minimalist interior. Its dynamic presence makes it a compelling focal point on a console, sideboard, or pedestal, adding a significant element of modern art to the space.
