The armchair is of high quality in its wooden and upholstered parts and is in a very good, stable vintage condition with only a few signs of wear on the wood in the form of light scratches, slight discoloration and chips. The wood was refinished and the dust trap under the cushions was replaced.
This beautiful lounge chair was designed by Grete Jalk for France and Son in the 1950s in Denmark. The elegant shape and the fragile proportions make this easy chair one of the most outstanding designs of the mid century era. The chair is manufactured out of solid teak wood and comes with comfortable foam cushions with blue upholstery.
The teak wood frame has been refinished and shows only some minor traces of wear and tear, nothing that distracts. The cushions have been renewed at some point and are not dating back to the 50s. The dust cover underneath the seat cushion has been renewed as well. The armchair's overall appearance presents beautifully.
