Product description
This chair with armrests was designed by René Herbst in the 1930s and produced in the late 1970s.
It features a chrome-plated steel frame, to which cotton-covered elastic bands, similar to the bungee cords used to secure packages to bicycle racks, are attached for the seat, backrest, and armrests.
In very good condition.
An iconic piece of design, the "Sandows Chair" is on permanent display at the MoMA in New York; it could be in your living room!
