Designed by Miroslav Navrátil, one of the most prominent figures of Czechoslovak mid-century modern design, this armchair exemplifies the nation’s embrace of functionalist principles and innovative materials. Created during the 1950s–1960s, the model remains a key example of postwar modernist production.
The chair features a molded fiberglass shell mounted on a slender metal frame, newly upholstered for renewed comfort. Its clean silhouette and practical form express Navrátil’s focus on ergonomics and simplicity. The piece has been professionally restored and is in excellent condition.
