A rare Model 302 armchair designed by Willem Hendrik Gispen for Kembo – a beautiful example of post-war Dutch modernist design.
The Model 302 is the armchair version of the series, distinguished by its elegant armrests and characteristic slender metal frame. Its clean, functional construction is unmistakably Gispen: simple, balanced and designed without unnecessary decoration.
The chair has been carefully restored with new filling and newly upholstered in a high-quality Spanish wool and polyester fabric. The rich red upholstery gives the restrained metal structure a strong, contemporary character, while the wool blend makes it both comfortable and practical for everyday use.
Compact yet distinctive, it works beautifully as an occasional chair, at a desk or as a single statement piece in a modern or eclectic interior.
