This is an authentic 'Mette' Armchair, produced by the Dutch furniture manufacturer Bovenkamp in the early 60s, designed by Madsen & Schubell.
The Armchair has a solid oak frame, combined with elegantly shaped armrests incorporating a darker wood, teak.
Frame and suspension are perfect.
The upholstery is original: made of a coarsely woven, ocher yellow wool fabric. Still perfect. The foam feels a bit lumpy, but you don't see or feel that.
The dimensions of the chair are approximately 90 cm high, 68 cm wide and 75 cm deep, with a comfortable seat height of 41 cm.
Stamps on the frame '62 63'.
And a brand stamp.
A very beautiful design classic!
