Product description
The Ardísur candlestick presents a striking example of Brutalist design originating from Seville, Spain. This distinctive piece commands attention through its bold geometric silhouette and architectural presence, embodying the raw, expressive characteristics of the Brutalist movement. Constructed with a compelling juxtaposition of materials, the candelabra features a solid brass upper structure finished in a radiant gold tone, anchored by a conical wooden base in a rich brown hue. The design incorporates a central vertical plane intersected by a horizontal axis, supporting three distinct candle receptacles. The underside bears the original maker's mark, confirming its provenance from Ardísur S.L. in Spain. The interplay between the warm wood and the reflective metallic surface creates a sophisticated visual tension characteristic of mid-century European craftsmanship. The piece remains in good vintage condition, preserving its structural integrity and original character. The metallic surfaces exhibit a natural patina that has developed over time, adding depth and authenticity to the Brutalist aesthetic. The wooden base retains its original finish, complementing the aged character of the upper structure. This sculptural object serves as a compelling focal point in both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors. It pairs exceptionally well with organic modern decor or minimalist spaces, offering a sophisticated architectural element to a dining table, console, or curated mantlepiece.
