Product description
This is the "Hangoor" table, designed by Arnold Merckx for the Dutch manufacturer Arco in 1985. The piece is a well-known example of functional Dutch design, characterized by its clever, space-saving mechanism.
The table is crafted with a maple veneer top in a white finish, resting on a metal base. Its main feature is its flexibility; the two half-round side panels can be folded in, transforming the table from a compact console into a spacious oval dining table. When unfolded, the table measures 193 cm wide and 110 cm deep, with a standard height of 74 cm.
The overall condition of the table is good, consistent with its age and use. The design retains its structural integrity and functionality. The piece has no manufacturer's marks, but the design is consistently attributed to Arnold Merckx.
