Product description
This architectural three-seater sofa exemplifies the clean lines and functional elegance of 1980s Scandinavian design. The piece features a robust varnished maple frame with a distinctive slatted and curved backrest, offering a strong geometric silhouette that is characteristic of the era's approach to seating.
Constructed with a solid wood frame, likely teak or a similarly warm-toned hardwood, the sofa is fitted with vibrant orange textile cushions. The cushions are detailed with subtle button tufting, adding texture and visual interest to the seating area. The exposed wooden structure, particularly the horizontal slats at the back, highlights the craftsmanship and structural integrity of the design.
The sofa remains in good condition, retaining its structural soundness and original character. The wooden frame displays a natural patina consistent with its age, while the upholstery maintains its striking colourway, reflecting careful use over the decades.
This piece serves as a compelling focal point in a mid-century modern or contemporary interior. Its architectural form and bold colour make it an excellent addition to a living room or open-plan space, pairing well with both neutral tones and other vibrant accents.
