A rare, large-format dining table executed in a characteristic 'slatted' design. This object is a superior example of the Brutalist movement within Dutch and Scandinavian modernism, where the focus lies on honest use of materials and visible constructive aesthetics.
The generous 250 cm tabletop is entirely crafted from high-quality solid oak. The planks are joined by artisanal, continuous mortise and tenon joints on the end edges. This open construction is technically superior and forms the central visual feature of the object. The robust, rectangular base combined with the linear top gives the table a timeless, sculptural appearance.
