This iconic mid-century pendant lamp was originally designed in 1959 by J.J.M. Hoogervorst, the chief designer of Anvia.
Hoogervorst is known for his timeless and functional designs, of which this lamp is a beautiful example. This particular piece dates from the 1970s and is in excellent condition. Thanks to the rotating counterweight, the arm is height-adjustable, and the shade itself can be tilted for focused lighting.
Furthermore, the entire lamp can rotate 360 degrees around its axis, allowing it to be placed in countless positions. The rod and rotating mechanism show paint damage, and one small knob is broken. This has been captured as clearly as possible in the photo.
