Product description
Rare and elegant all-wood chair designed by Antonín Šuman for TON (former Thonet) in the 1960s. A refined example of Czechoslovak modernist design, featuring a sculptural silhouette, softly curved backrest, and beautifully proportioned arm supports combined with a light yet visually balanced construction.
Crafted entirely from wood with warm finish, the chair showcases the clean lines and understated sophistication characteristic of mid-century Central European furniture design.
Presented in very good original condition with only minor measured signs of wear and light surface scuffs consistent with age and use. The surface has retained a rich patina and the chair remains structurally sound and ready for everyday use.
A rare and collectible piece suitable for both modern and historic interiors. Labeled by TON 1966.
