Description
This set of three original abstract geometric screenprints was created in 1993 by Anton Stankowski, one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Concrete Art and a pioneering graphic designer. Stankowski is internationally renowned for designing the iconic Deutsche Bank logo and for his role in shaping modern visual identity through the synthesis of art, mathematics, and design.
The works exemplify Stankowski’s late-period exploration of dynamic geometry, balance, and movement. Using precise hard-edge forms and bold primary and neutral colors, the compositions demonstrate his distinctive visual language, where abstract forms convey energy, structure, and clarity.
Each print is an artist’s proof, signed “ST 93,” indicating examples outside the standard numbered edition. Artist’s proofs from this period are particularly sought after and were produced in very limited numbers. The three works form a coherent series, conceived as variations on a geometric theme, and are intended to be displayed together as a unified set.
Works by Anton Stankowski are held in major international museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art (New York), Tate (London), and the Centre Pompidou (Paris).
