Antique wooden carved panel with cherub angel.A Baroque style carved wooden panel with cherubs, dating from the mid-1800s. This type of richly carved element was originally used to decorate large pieces of furniture (such as the tops of sideboards or cupboards) or as decoration above doors. It shows Baroque features, with two symmetrical puttoes (cherubs) and a central acanthus leaf or rocaille decoration. Carved from hardwood (oak or walnut), with a blackened or darkly stained surface. Decorative panel above door frames (eyebrow wood).Perfect for use as a home decor piece. In good condition, please see all photos. Built into the paneled walls of a rich old building, or salvaged from a wonderful old piece of furniture, or built into your own furniture.
