There is something immutable about the form of a coffee grinder. This one is a beautiful illustration of that. A square body of dark-stained wood, a tilting gilded brass cup, an angled crank with a turned wooden knob, and a sliding coffee drawer at the bottom. Everything is there, in its just proportion, with that quiet solidity of objects built to last. The brass cup, convex and gilded, catches the light with a particular warmth.
