A splendid antique oval silver-plated tray (EPNS) with a pierced edge, made by the prestigious English manufacturer Wm Hutton & Sons Ltd. in Sheffield between 1902 and 1930.
This piece is not only a collector's item for lovers of antique silverware, but also contains a fascinating liturgical and communal history tied to Canada. The top edge bears two historic engraved inscriptions:
"Presented by B.C. Amey"
"By United Church Saanichton - B.C."
The tray was originally donated as an offering plate or for liturgical use to the congregation of the United Church of Saanichton, British Columbia, Canada.
Cosmetic Condition:
The piece is in good structural and historical condition, with no dents.
