We offer this refined antique Italian settee dating back to the 18th century, during the Louis XV period.
The settee features a solid walnut frame and a distinctive seat and backrest made of Vienna straw. Its design is typical of the Louis XV period, with flowing lines alternating with refined and delicate floral decorations carved into the walnut. The Vienna straw is entirely hand-woven using the traditional method. A comfortable, custom-made padded cushion that follows the seat provides protection for the Vienna straw and offers greater seating comfort.
A comfortable settee for three, perfect for conversation. Its compact size allows for a wide variety of placements: in the living room, office, and even in the bedroom or entryway. Wherever you choose to place it, this sofa will bring a touch of Italian history to your home.
The wood, Vienna straw, and cushion are in excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear consistent with its age, so you can immediately add it to your home. If you'd like to customize the cushion with a new fabric, you can do so. The Vienna straw has no cracks.
