Handsome and rare antique swan neck bed c1900 France. Rich warm brown cherry frame with gorgeously carved naive swan detailing at each of the four corners. A wonderfully naive take on the classic empire style, this bed would work as a stylish daybed or a wide single bed in a guest or child's bedroom. In great antique condition with good patina, solid and sound. Some old minor modifications, nothing distracting. Dimensions: Headboard Height 146cm/57.48in Width 133.5/ 52.56in. Tail Board Height 106cm/41.73in Width 122.5/48.23in Floor to side rails 38cm/14.96in Floor to top of side rails 55cm/ 21.65in This bed takes a 115cm /45.28in wide and 190cm/ 74.8in long mattress and bed base - please ask for details.
