The table is traditionally constructed from solid wood and has two beautifully turned trestle legs. The legs are reinforced by black iron braces and a long metal tie rod. The scalloped woodwork under the top and the profiled edge give the table a lot of character. The solid wood top consists of several wide planks and has a beautiful, lived-in patina with traces of use that match its presumed age. The wood type appears to be oak or similar European hardwood. The top has two open plank seams due to the working/shrinkage of the solid wood. This is clearly visible in the photos. At one end of the tie rod, the old wooden locking mechanism is damaged/incomplete. Nevertheless, the table stands firmly. Not restored or repainted; the old appearance and traces of use have been deliberately preserved. Dimensions: approx. 92–93 cm wide × 50 cm deep × 78 cm high. A special and atmospheric piece of furniture that can serve well as a console table, sidetable, or compact desk. Condition: good antique/used condition with clear signs of age and use; see photos.
