About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This antique chest of drawers in solid pine is a storage piece from Central Europe dating to the early 20th century, originally intended for domestic use as a chest of drawers.
Its silhouette belongs to the tradition of rural European furniture: a strong rectilinear structure, four generous drawers and a restrained presence shaped by utility. The round metal pulls and turned side columns add visual rhythm and give the front a more architectural balance.
Crafted in pine, the piece shows solid traditional construction. The lively grain, visible knots and tonal variations reinforce its material authenticity and make it especially suitable for interiors with a *rustic* or *countryhouse* feel.
The surface has been stripped and waxed, allowing the wood to breathe and revealing more clearly its texture, patina and traces of time. Wear is consistent with age and use, contributing to the calm and honest quality now valued in natural interior schemes.
Because of its proportions and practical capacity, this dresser works beautifully in a bedroom, country home or spacious hallway, where it functions both as storage and as a grounding decorative piece.
