This antique oval tray by Jakubowski & Jarra dates to the 1890s, showcasing the intricate metalwork characteristic of late 19th-century Polish design. The piece is defined by its elaborate guilloché engraving and ornate cast handles, reflecting the decorative sensibilities of the era. Crafted from brass, the tray features a detailed foliate and scrollwork pattern engraved across its surface, framed by a raised, decorative border. The manufacturer's mark, "JAKUBOWSKI & JARRA," is clearly stamped on the surface, authenticating its origin. The brass presents a rich, aged gold tone with natural verdigris developing in the recessed areas of the handles and rim. The tray remains in good condition, preserving its structural integrity and historical character. The surface exhibits a natural patina and oxidation consistent with over a century of age, adding to its authenticity as an antique object. This piece serves as an elegant addition to a classic or eclectic interior. It functions beautifully as a display base for decanters on a sideboard or as a decorative focal point on a coffee table.
