Product description
Antique ladder in pine wood, from Central Europe. It comes from agricultural carpentry of the early 20th century, with sober lines and direct construction.
Ladders of this type served in barns, cellars and household stores to reach shelves and lofts.
Two sawn timber stiles hold eight flat rungs, fitted and fixed with wooden pegs showing on the edge.
The wood has a warm golden tone, with visible grain and small marks of use.
Leaning against a wall, it serves as a light shelf, a bedding holder or a vertical element in a hallway.
