Product description
Antique ladder in pine wood, from Central Europe. A tall ladder typical of agricultural carpentry of the early 20th century.
Ladders of this height were used in hayricks and high-ceilinged stores, where a household ladder was not enough.
Two slender sawn timber stiles hold a series of flat rungs, fixed with wooden pegs visible on the edge.
The wood shows an amber tone with marked grain and the smoothness of continued use.
In a high-ceilinged room, it adds verticality and can display textiles, baskets or hanging plants.
