Product description
Antique desk in pine wood, from France, in the French provincial style. Originates from the French countryside of the early 20th century, where solid pine was used in everyday domestic furniture. Desks of this type were placed in the study or living room of the Provençal farmhouse, combining a writing surface with drawer storage. The pine top rests on two lateral bodies each fitted with a drawer with ceramic knobs, joined together by an H-shaped stretcher that reinforces the base of the structure. The wood retains the natural patina of the pine, with use marks spread across the surface of the top and slight wear on the knobs typical of continued use. In a countryside-style study or reading corner, it brings the warmth and genuine character of French provincial furniture.
