A charming antique oval serving platter by Petrus Regout & Co. of Maastricht, decorated in the traditional Boerenbont style.The reverse bears the original P. Regout & Co. Maastricht backstamp, featuring the characteristic reclining sphinx and the inscription “P. REGOUT & CO / MAASTRICHT / MADE IN HOLLAND”.The platter features a characteristic colourful floral and folk-inspired decoration, with hand-painted-style details in shades of red, blue, green and yellow, framed by a delicate red line along the outer rim.
