The composition features a large umbrella pine overlooking the Mediterranean, agave plants in the foreground, small sailing boats and the distinctive relief of the French Riviera.
Signed lower right “Tom Evans 09 – Cannes” and dated 1909.
An old handwritten inscription on the reverse reads “Cannes – Environs de La Bocca”, identifying the location depicted.
Presented in its original-style antique gilt frame with rich moulded decoration and an attractive aged patina.
