Product description
Antique dining table in oak wood, from Central Europe, in a rustic style. Originates from a rural European home of the mid-19th century, built from solid hand-hewn oak.
Tables of this type presided over the main room of the farmhouse, gathering the family for daily meals and domestic celebrations.
The generous top, adze-hewn with the joinery peg marks visible on the surface, rests on an X-cross leg base joined with tenons, lending great stability to the piece.
The wood retains its original hewn texture, with marks from hand tools and wear consistent with generations of use as a family dining table.
In a rustic or industrial-style dining room, its X-cross base and generous top make it the gathering point of the room.
