Product description
Antique deck chair in oak wood, from Europe. Reflects the typology of the deck chairs found on early 20th century ocean liners, designed for passengers resting on deck during crossings.
This type of chair furnished the decks of passenger liners, where travellers reclined in the sun while the hinged leg rest allowed them to stretch out fully.
The slatted oak frame is articulated with brass hinges that allow the backrest to fold into several positions and the front leg rest to fold down.
The wood retains the warm tone of the oak with the natural wear typical of continued use, while the brass hinges show their original golden patina.
On a porch, a terrace, or a reading corner, it keeps intact the spirit of the ocean crossings of the past.
