This authentic shamanic ritual mask (24.5 cm) originates from the mountainous border regions of Nepal and is attributed to the Gurung or Magar culture. The mask is entirely hand-formed from thick yak leather, which was modeled wet over a simple wooden mold. The organic asymmetry, deep smoke patina, and original yak hair give the object a powerful, almost monumental appearance. Due to its untouched condition, this mask is not only a special ethnographic collector's item but also an impressive piece of art for an interior with character.
