A highly unique gilded cast bronze inkwell sculpted as a native American Indian head with feathered headdress. Rare inkwell in the style of Frederic Sackrider Remington (1861-1909).
Manufactured in the early twentieth century.
The head of the Indian chief is used as an inkpot whose articulated cap covers the location of the bucket. The lower part of the headdress serves as a pen holder.
Showing some signs green oxidation, slight loss of the gilding and minor marks of usage.
