ORIGINAL KELVIN BOTTOMLEY & BAIRD SHIP'S BINNACLE – 10" KELVITE COMPASS – MARITIME ANTIQUE
Exceptional large original ship's binnacle with Kelvin Bottomley & Baird 10-inch Kelvite dry-card compass.
This is a substantial, genuine maritime navigation instrument standing approximately 1.40 metres (55") tall, constructed with a mahogany/wooden binnacle and extensive brass fittings. It sits on its original-looking wooden tray/base with carrying handles, and has the original brass correction/support arms.
The compass card is marked “KELVIN BOTTOMLEY & BAIRD LTD” and “KELVITE 10 INCH dry-card compass…”.
