This large serving bowl evokes all the charm of old family tables, those generous pieces that were brought out daily and which, more than a century after their creation, naturally find their place in our homes today. Crafted from antique earthenware, it first captivates with its proportions. Measuring approximately 30 cm in diameter and nearly 8 cm in height, it possesses a generous depth and a remarkable presence, quite unlike a simple shallow dish. A delicate bouquet of carnations and wildflowers, in shades of old rose, mauve, and orange, unfolds on the slightly speckled white background, accompanied by long green leaves and delicate reddish-brown tendrils. The deliberately off-center decor allows a large part of the earthenware to show through, lending it an almost contemporary elegance. Away from the main bouquet, a small isolated flower punctuates the composition with charming lightness. The reverse side also speaks to the piece's age. Its wide, unglazed footring, marked by time and use, contrasts with the glazed earthenware and attests to its antique manufacturing. No maker's mark is present. Its profile, craftsmanship, and the nature of its decor lead us to place it at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, circa .
