Product description
This is an antique Japanese rice measure, known as an 'ittomasu', dating from approximately the 1930s. Originally a utilitarian object for measuring rice, this piece now serves as a characterful decorative item, embodying a rich history and traditional craftsmanship. Crafted from a light-toned wood, the cylindrical body is reinforced with dark iron bands at the top, bottom, and vertically, all secured with rivets.
