Ganesha is depicted four-armed and seated relaxed in lalitasana, with one leg hanging over the base. The high coiffure, broad ears, round belly, and long trunk are compactly but recognizably modeled. The rear hands retain remnants of traditional attributes; the front hands and protruding parts are heavily worn due to prolonged use. Surface and Age The copper-containing metal shows a deeply grown green-blue and brown patina, with corrosion in the recesses and smooth contact wear on the trunk, hands, knees, and other protruding parts. The irregular casting structure, pitting, and prolonged mechanical wear are consistent with an old personal devotional object that was in use. Condition Antique condition with clear signs of use and age. Trunk, hands, and attributes are locally worn; there are small corrosion and casting openings, pitting, and material loss.
