A wonderful item for the table is this antique hand-blown tazza/compote/cake stand from the late 1800s from France. This tazza was frequently used in French bistros and patisseries for elegantly presenting fruit, pastries, cookies, or chocolates. The raised rim ensured that any juices that ran out remained on the dish. The tazza stands on a beautiful thick foot that has been chipped. Over the years, there are naturally signs of use, but no pieces are broken off. Diam.: 18 cm. Height: 10 cm.
