Antique Engraving of St. James's Park after George Morland – Art Print on Arches Paper. Superb and large antique print entitled St. James's Park, after the original work by the renowned British painter George Morland (1763-1804). This is a very fine art reprint using the intaglio technique (pointed engraving with a clearly defined plate mark), printed on high-quality Arches laid paper (ARCHES FRANCE watermark visible when held up to the light). Paper sheet dimensions: Height: 90 cm Width: 63 cm Dimensions of the central illustration (oval): 50 x 41 cm Condition: The print is sold unframed. (The plexiglass visible in the photographs was used only to hold the paper flat for the photography). There are foxing spots and traces of dampness, mainly located around the edges in the white margins. IMPORTANT: Please carefully examine the photos. They are an integral part of the description and accurately show the details and imperfections of the artwork.
