Antique English Victorian trivet, dating from the mid-19th century. What a decorative trivet from the Victorian era of England. These were placed in the fire to make jam or boil water for tea, for example. The legs are made of cast iron with hooves as feet. The top was once replaced by a brass nameplate from Cardiff Intermediate School for Boys, visible on the underside. Great as a side table for a showpiece or plant.
