About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a beautiful antique document holder, made of sterling silver on a deep red base. Its charm lies in the rich, handmade details and classic English origin, making it a truly unique piece.
The holder was manufactured in Sheffield, known for its silversmiths. The exterior is decorated with sterling silver (925) ornaments in an ornate, baroque style, applied to a red, presumably leather, cover. The dimensions are 27 x 17 cm. Inside you will find a moiré silk lining with compartments to neatly store documents. The silver hallmarks confirm authenticity and origin.
This document holder has stood the test of time well and is in beautiful vintage condition, with a patina appropriate for its age. It is an object with a story, perfect for those who love items with character. It is an elegant accessory for a desk in a classic or eclectic interior, or as a special Decorative Object in a cabinet.
