Extremely rare antique display cabinet (c. 1910) containing a three-dimensional anatomical relief wax model of the head. In very good condition, old mouth-blown glass, ornate clasp, and fitted with a hanging loop. Note the wood joints as well. Produced in Germany by Lehrmittelwerke Berlinische Verlagsanstalt. This wax model depicts the interior of the head (facies externa), focusing on the nerves, arteries, veins, and muscles of the head. A glass eye was incorporated into the cross-section. Enormously detailed and in excellent condition. Accompanying paper manual (usually missing), written in two languages (French and Latin).
