This authentic 19th-century Burmese monk figure was crafted during the Konbaung Dynasty and is presumably one of the Buddha's most important disciples. Its restrained posture, rich gilding, and traditional lacquer finish make this statue a remarkable example of religious sculpture from Myanmar. With its serene appearance, ancient patina, and refined craftsmanship, this temple statue exudes peace, devotion, and spiritual dignity.
