Product description
This is an antique set of brass weights, presented in its original wooden holder. What makes this set extra special is the classic Dutch "HEKTOGRAM" designation, a detail that collectors will certainly appreciate.
The set consists of multiple solid brass weights, each with its own place in the accompanying wooden block. Various old calibration and hallmark marks can be seen on the weights, hinting at the rich history of this measuring instrument. The clear markings are typical for Dutch measuring instruments from that period.
Both the weights and the holder have developed a characteristic patina over the years. This weathered appearance gives the set an authentic and decorative value. It is a beautiful object that tells a story and adds a touch of history to a desk, shelf, or display cabinet.
Unfortunately, the small weights are missing.
