This small bronze or brass figurine of a mythological creature (it has the body of a horse, but the head appears to be that of a lion) comes from China. It is antique, probably from the late 19th century, and was used as a counterweight on a small scale. These small decorative weights were often used on scales for gold powder. Very detailed and in excellent condition. A true collector's item!
