Product description
Antique Black Forest bear lamp, dating from the late 19th century. This beautiful and highly decorative seated bear with lamp can be used as a floor or table lamp. The bear is hand-carved from a single piece of wood with beautiful details, from the face to the fur. Presumably made in Brienz, Switzerland, but later also in Germany. Originally, it was an adjustable stool with a seat that could be rotated up or down; it was converted into a lamp sometime in the 1950s/60s. The wiring and socket have recently been replaced, and the lamp shown in the photo is included.
