This delicate case brings together a silver-plated bowl and a bone-bowled spoon, presented in their original case with a golden yellow satin lining. The set makes for a birth or christening gift of the kind offered in the late 19th and early 20th century, a precious testament to family traditions of yesteryear. The bowl, with a diameter of approximately 13 cm, features an openwork rim with a fine beaded decoration that beautifully catches the light. It bears silversmith's hallmarks on the reverse. The spoon combines a warm white bone bowl with a silver handle decorated with palmette and shell motifs in the Empire style, adorned with a monogrammed medallion ready to receive initials.
