This is a handcrafted, height-adjustable oak piano stool that can be raised or lowered by rotating the seat using a spindle (metal screw system). Dimensions (always approx.): Standard height +/- 51 cm, extended height 65 cm. Seat diameter: 36 cm. Foot width: 32 cm / depth 30 cm. A stunning design item from approximately the 1920s-1930s. The Antique/Art Deco period. A functional piano stool, we have also seen these beautiful stools used as plant tables and/or interior items. There are signs of wear consistent with its age. Nice detail: The number M425 is stamped into the spindle plate (mold/casting form for replacement, for example). The item is listed for courier delivery; it may be possible to ship by post.
