Product description
A unique mantel clock (cabinet clock) in the Art Deco style typical of the era. It combines geometric form with refined materials, representing a superb example of mid-20th-century European craftsmanship.
Materials and Design:
Case: Solid, horizontal solid wood case (likely oak or walnut), veneered, in a deep, dark brown color.
Front: The center panel is decorated with a striking Bakelite plate with a burl-like (marbled) texture, giving it a luxurious feel.
Dial: Round, light-colored dial with bold, black Arabic numerals in a design typical of the 1930s and 1940s.
Condition:
The clock presents itself in very good condition, as an authentic antique. The wooden case retains its structure, and the Bakelite front is fully legible. Natural patina may be visible on the metal elements and dial, confirming the item's age and adding to its historical value.
